About the Role:
A growing construction contractor is looking to appoint a Buyer / Procurement Support professional to assist with material sourcing and supply chain coordination across live projects. This hybrid role will split time between site operations in West London and the head office in Essex, supporting both project teams and commercial staff.
This position would suit someone with previous experience supporting construction buying teams or individuals from a construction materials supply background looking to move into a contractor environment.
Key Duties:
- Assist with sourcing and procurement of construction materials
- Support buying team with orders, pricing comparisons, and supplier coordination
- Liaise with site teams to understand material requirements and delivery schedules
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain procurement records
- Support commercial and project teams with procurement administration
- Help coordinate deliveries between office and live project sites
- Build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
Experience & Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction buying support or procurement
- Background working for a construction materials supplier also considered
- Strong understanding of construction materials and lead times
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to split time between site and office environments
- Proactive and commercially aware approach
Working Pattern:
- 2 days on-site (West London)
- 3 days Head Office (Essex)
- Hybrid working arrangement
