About the Role:
The hiring company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a £6 million Groundworks project. This role offers the opportunity to lead a skilled team, manage complex operations, and ensure the successful completion of a high-value project while maintaining safety, quality, and programme requirements.
Key Duties:
- Manage the overall operations of the site, ensuring efficient use of resources, including labour, subcontractors, and materials.
- Regularly update and monitor project progress against the programme to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide detailed feedback and updates to senior management as required.
- Liaise with Quantity Surveyors and the Commercial team to manage costs, variations, and project profitability.
- Collaborate with the buying/procurement department to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Oversee the implementation of Health & Safety standards and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors, site teams, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain progress.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of work to meet client expectations and industry standards.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of project details, including site diaries, progress reports, and client communications.
- Assist with project planning, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Experience:
- At least 4 years of project management experience in Groundworks and RC Frame projects.
Skills:
- Exceptional organisational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong ability to manage teams and motivate individuals to achieve project goals.
Essential:
- SMSTS / SSSTS certification.
- The successful applicant will likely come from an engineering background.
