About the Company / Project:
A leading specialist in Enabling, Groundworks, Civil Engineering, and RC Frame projects is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Essex. The company handles a diverse range of projects across England, particularly in the South East and London. Projects vary significantly in scale, with values ranging from £500k to £10 million, offering a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
Manage smaller subcontractors; send out enquiries, collate prices, tender comparing, order placement.
Cost management for project/section of works.
Value/change management for project/section of works.
Evaluating and managing project risks and opportunities.
Assist in the preparation and issue of subcontract documentation, enquiries, and negotiations.
Financial reporting.
Identification, preparation, and negotiation of claims.
Submission of applications.
What the Quantity Surveyor Will Need:
Experience/Knowledge:
4 years of UK-based Quantity Surveying experience.
4 years of experience in RC Frame/Groundworks/Civils (preferred).
Qualifications:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (NVQ or similar).
Skills:
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
